About Celeste (she/her/hers)

I started working in the mental health field in 2002, and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2010. I provide a safe and affirming environment for those who are in the LGBTQIA+ community and am supportive and affirming of all gender orientations/expressions.

My personal therapeutic style is compassionate, empathetic, non-judgmental. I believe that people are doing the best they can to manage distress and that we all have the ability to grow, heal and become more resilient.

Research shows that the relationship between therapist and client is the best predictor of having success in therapy. Taking the time to form this connection is important to me. After a safe and supportive environment has been established we will begin using specific therapeutic interventions based on your goals for therapy.

I have experience helping folks work through many difficult issues; however, I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety and concerns around family of origin.

My clinical approach to therapy is strengths based. In a therapy session I often utilize a variety of evidence based practices, such as: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Somatic based techniques. I am also trained EMDR clinician.
